FOUNDER'S FAVOURITES: Phil's go-to garments from the &SONS collection

"Following on from our biggest year of growth, whilst navigating the various challenges we faced as a small business meant, we have to keep momentum in 2021 and continue to develop great products for our customers. I've been fully immersed in the design process for the last month, with some very exciting pieces planned for Q1 and Q2."

We spoke about what Phil felt was needed in the collection and what pieces he was most looking forward to launching.

"There are a number of collections on the horizon including a military inspired range which will include cargo trousers and a mid-weight utility jacket."

We also discussed a few new pieces such as the photographer jacket - a wax finish, highly practical yet rugged jacket complete with lens cap pockets and other functional features. As always, there will be influences from other eras of fashion which have inspired a vintage gym range and under garments including long johns and boxers along with new designs and fabric for our Club Shirt. 

As the founder of a global menswear brand we were interested to hear what he reaches for everyday from the &SONS wardrobe. Aside from spending a lot of time in gym gear Phil leans towards a classic style for his daily essentials. A pair of great fitting, well made denims, work boots and a mid-weight flannel shirt. 

It was clear from our conversation that the YUKON was very close to Phil's heart. It was a journey he went on in the very early days of &SONS but could never find the right fabric or pattern. Having owned a number of check flannel shirts as a youngster and always felt as though he was wearing a ‘mock’ version of the classic buffalo plaid, so he swore he would never leave our Pioneers feeling the same.
