It was time for some well earned R&R for our Founder Phil and his family, and there was only one place to go and disconnect, unwind and recharge - the beautiful fforest near Cardigan, South Wales.
Since the launch of &SONS this has been THE spot for a weekend with great people, enjoying wonderful food and soaking up the beautiful landscape of Wales. It’s also an ideal spot for Phil to explore and reccy backdrops and location for future shoots - watch this space!
fforest is the result of a dream – the dream of trying to remember what ‘simple’ can look, feel and taste like. They have places to stay, eat, run, swim, relax and enjoy. The synergy of home comforts and rustic amenities is balanced beautifully and provides everything a family could wish for.
The latest addition to the fforest accommodation are their stunning Hill Shacs and as the name suggests, these bespoke retreats are made from reclaimed wood, rusted metal and finished beautifully with all the interior design and home touches you would expect from the talented people at fforest.
TAKING IT ALL IN…
Phil says: “I’m an early riser so I would sit quietly and read on the veranda looking out across stunning Welsh scenery, coffee pot brewing with the amazing fforest fresh coffee in the background. The space and atmosphere there is so peaceful – I’m always inspired with so many new ideas there and worked on the A/W 20 &SONS collection, sketching out clothes in between coffee breaks.
PACKING THE STAPLES
I always travel light and keep my wardrobe to a minimum when we head off for a long weekend, which means I stick with the staples. My Hudson boots can take on the toughest of terrains but are still comfortable as we lounge around the site drinking local ales and tasting some homemade pizza! Alongside my new pair of Frontier denims, I also packed my Blue Bolt jacket – a great layer for any temperature. The colour pops with almost every item I own and it’s just a great, hard wearing but comfortable coat that I can sling on whenever I need.”
